South African Veterinary Foundation Bursary, Requirement, Application & Closing Date

The South African Veterinary Foundation (SAVF) Bursary is a unique opportunity for veterinary students in South Africa who are passionate about animal health and require financial assistance. Established in 1984, the SAVF is committed to advancing veterinary and biological sciences through funding, education, and research initiatives.

This annual bursary programme, sponsored by Lakato Veterinary Wholesalers, the Pet Memorial Fund, and a private donor, supports fourth and fifth-year Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) students at the University of Pretoria.

About the SAVF Bursary Programme

Since 1999, the South African Veterinary Foundation has financially supported over 40 veterinary students, with bursary allocations now totalling more than R250,000.
